Ukraine Strikes Wildberries’ Strategic Logistics Hub Linking European Russia With Siberia

Ukrainian drones struck a strategic Wildberries logistics hub in Russia’s Samara region overnight on August 2, targeting what the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, described as the company’s main logistics link between European Russia and Siberia.

According to Brovdi and footage published by the OSINT community Exilenova+, the strike targeted the Wildberries logistics complex in Novosemeykino, northwest of Samara. Wildberries later confirmed that the facility had come under attack and said there were no casualties.

In a post published on August 2, Brovdi described the Novosemeykino site as “the main logistics bridge between the European part of Russia and Siberia,” adding that disruptions at the facility would affect deliveries across Russia’s eastern regions.

Referring to the campaign against the retailer’s infrastructure, he wrote: “Tenth successful hook, anniversary one… but definitely not the last in the berry fight.”

Russian retailer Wildberries confirmed that its logistics center had been attacked but reported no injuries among employees. The company did not immediately disclose the extent of the damage or potential disruptions to operations.

The logistics complex covers approximately 178,600 square meters, making it one of Wildberries' largest distribution centers serving the Volga region. Images circulating online showed a large column of smoke rising above the site following the strike.

The attack came during a broader wave of Ukrainian long-range drone operations overnight that also targeted Russia’s Saratov oil refinery. Later on August 2, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed strikes against the Saratov refinery, Engels air base, an oil depot in Russia’s Kaluga region, and other military-related facilities.

The Novosemeykino strike marks the latest attack on Wildberries' logistics network, which has increasingly become a target of Ukrainian drone operations.

According to Russian outlet Agentstvo, Ukrainian forces attacked Wildberries logistics facilities 18 times over a two-week period, targeting more than 1 million square meters of warehouse space. Separate estimates cited by Ukrainian media put damage to the company and its marketplace sellers between $770 million and $1.2 billion.

Wildberries operates roughly 200 logistics facilities with a combined area of 5.2 million square meters and processes approximately 4.5 million orders per day, accounting for an estimated 45% of Russia’s e-commerce market.

Earlier reporting indicated that repeated strikes on the company’s warehouses had disrupted deliveries, prompted Wildberries to seek additional warehouse capacity in Kazakhstan, and forced the retailer to restructure parts of its logistics network.
