According to the corps, Ukrainian units used multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) and heavy bomber drones to carry out the strikes within its area of operations.
“Strikes using MLRS and heavy bomber drones destroyed concentrations of Russian army personnel, an enemy crossing, an ammunition depot, a UAV crew, an artillery gun, and an occupiers’ MLRS within the 3rd Army Corps’ area of operations,” the corps said.

The strikes come as Ukrainian forces continue Operation Vivaldi, a counteroffensive in northern Donetsk region aimed at pushing Russian troops from areas they had infiltrated and restoring Ukrainian control over territory in the sector.
The 3rd Army Corps publicly confirmed the operation on September 15 following a period of information silence. The corps reported that Ukrainian forces had cleared 75 square kilometers of Russian infiltration and liberated an additional 10 square kilometers, including the settlement of Serednie.
Other areas cleared during the operation included Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, Yarova, and the outskirts of Korovyi Yar.

Beyond the territorial gains, electronic warfare has played a significant role in the operation. The 3rd Army Corps later reported that its electronic warfare units had disrupted more than 20,000 Russian drone missions during Operation Vivaldi.
Corps commander Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi described the gains announced so far as only the first “season” of the operation, a reference to Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, and indicated that further phases are planned.
