Ukraine’s Intelligence Drones Wipe Out Over $20 Million in Russian Military Hardware Overnight

Ukrainian military intelligence said its drone operators destroyed or damaged Russian military assets worth more than $20 million during overnight strikes across temporarily occupied southern Ukraine, targeting a Pantsir-S1 air defense system, a Project 1100M Sargan patrol boat, and a ground control station for Forpost unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) on August 1, the strikes were carried out during the night of July 29–30 against targets in temporarily occupied Kherson region and temporarily occupied Crimea.

HUR said the operation targeted a Russian Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system deployed in temporarily occupied Kherson region, a Project 1100M Sargan patrol boat in Kerch, and a ground control station used to operate Forpost reconnaissance drones in Yevpatoria, temporarily occupied Crimea.

The agency estimated the Pantsir-S1 system to be worth approximately $15 million, while the Sargan patrol boat was valued at around $6 million. HUR did not provide an estimate for the value of the Forpost drone control station.

The intelligence agency released video footage showing the reported strikes but did not disclose what weapons or drone systems were used in the operation. Russian authorities had not publicly commented on the claims at the time of publication, and the reported damage could not be independently verified.

Earlier, HUR reported destroying a Russian Murmansk-BN electronic warfare system near Cape Fiolent in temporarily occupied Crimea. The system is designed for signals intelligence and long-range communications jamming, with a claimed operating range of up to 5,000 kilometers.
