Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine has developed upgraded long-range drones capable of striking targets at distances of up to 3,000 kilometers, highlighting the country’s expanding deep-strike capabilities against Russian military and industrial infrastructure.

According to Zelenskyy’s June 20 evening address, the new capability was demonstrated as Ukraine continued long-range operations against targets inside Russia, including a recent strike on infrastructure in the Tyumen region.

“Now our drones can reach targets at a distance of 3,000 kilometers. Grateful to the engineers of Fire Point,” Zelenskyy said.

The president linked the announcement to Ukraine’s ongoing campaign against Russian military logistics and energy facilities, stating that long-range strikes are producing tangible effects on Russia’s ability to sustain military operations.

Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine continues to conduct medium-range strikes against military targets in temporarily occupied territories. “It is important that this really affects Russian military logistics,” he said.

Fire Point, the Ukrainian defense technology company referenced by Zelenskyy, has previously presented a range of long-range strike systems. At the Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris earlier this month, the company displayed the FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile, a platform designed for long-range precision strikes.

The statement follows reports of a Ukrainian drone strike on the Tyumen Oil Refinery in western Siberia, located roughly 2,000 kilometers from Ukraine’s border. Russian authorities said air defenses responded to the attack, while local reports and footage circulating online indicated explosions near the facility.
