According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on August 10, drone operators from the Chernivtsi border unit carried out the strikes while supporting Ukrainian Defense Forces operations in the area.
Footage released by the service shows Ukrainian drones targeting several Russian positions. One of the shelters had been fitted with an air conditioner, indicating that the position had been prepared for longer-term use.
The border guards also reported destroying another Russian position concealed inside a forest belt.
The strikes were carried out using Vampire heavy unmanned aerial vehicles, which Ukrainian forces employ to attack fortified positions, equipment, and other battlefield targets.
The service did not disclose the precise location of the positions or identify which Russian units were using them.
Earlier, Ukraine’s 15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade destroyed a Russian command-and-control vehicle linked to an S-300P/PM air defense system, disrupting a key component used to coordinate multiple missile units. The strike was carried out with a loitering munition and observed by a reconnaissance drone.
