Ukrainian Drones Strike 10 Energy Sites Across Occupied Territories as Campaign Total Reaches 187 Targets

Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces struck ten key energy targets across occupied Mariupol, Donetsk region, and Crimea overnight on August 3, damaging major electrical substations and two gas distribution facilities.

The overnight operation brought the total number of Russian energy targets hit during the ongoing campaign between July 1 and August 3 to 187 sites in the temporarily occupied territories. The operation details were reported based on a statement from Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The targeted facilities included:

  • 750 kV Pivdennodonbas'ka electrical substation, Kremenivka, Donetsk region – 427th Separate Battalion of the Unmanned Systems Forces "Rarog";

  • 110 kV Misto-3 electrical substation, Mariupol, Donetsk region – 413th Separate Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces "Raid";

  • 110 kV Misto-2 electrical substation, Mariupol, Donetsk region – 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces;

  • 110 kV NS-2 electrical substation, Mariupol, Donetsk region – 413th Separate Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces "Raid”;

  • 110 kV Topolyne electrical substation, Topolyne, Donetsk region – 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces;

  • 110 kV Misto-12 electrical substation, Mariupol, Donetsk region – 412th Separate Battalion of the Unmanned Systems Forces "Nemesis";

  • 110 kV Misto-4 electrical substation, Mariupol, Donetsk region – 412th Separate Battalion of the Unmanned Systems Forces "Nemesis";

  • 110 kV Volodarska electrical substation, Mykilske, Donetsk region – 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces;

  • Lymane gas distribution station, Kolosky, Autonomous Republic of Crimea – 9th Kairos Battalion, 414th Separate Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces "Madyar's Birds";

  • Nyva gas distribution station, Nyva, Autonomous Republic of Crimea – 9th Kairos Battalion, 414th Separate Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces "Madyar's Birds";

Earlier, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces reported a series of long-range drone strikes targeting Russian energy, logistics, and military infrastructure across occupied Crimea and southern Ukraine, including the Hlibivske underground gas storage facility on the Tarkhankut Peninsula, radar stations, fuel transport assets, and military command posts.
