Ukraine Cripples Russian Artillery Support Network, Striking Drone Launch Site and Military Depots

Ukrainian forces struck a Russian artillery repair facility, a strike-drone preparation site, logistics warehouses, and other military targets in occupied Crimea and Russia overnight on August 3.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 3, the operation targeted facilities supporting Russian artillery, drone operations, military communications, and frontline logistics.

In the area of Nove Zhyttia in temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukrainian forces hit a logistics warehouse and a repair and maintenance base operated by a Russian artillery brigade. The facility was used to store weapons, spare parts, and other supplies, as well as to repair artillery systems and military vehicles.

The General Staff said Ukrainian forces also struck a facility near Navlya in Russia’s Bryansk region used to store, prepare, and launch strike drones.

Additional targets included military supply depots near Okunivka and Naumivka in occupied Crimea, a fuel and lubricants warehouse near Oktyabrsky in Russia’s Belgorod region, and a communications hub near Artemivka in Crimea.

The strikes were carried out as part of Ukraine’s continuing campaign to reduce Russia’s ability to maintain equipment, supply military units, and conduct drone operations, according to the General Staff.

A separate wave of Ukrainian drone strikes on August 3 hit the Belgorod State Technological University, reportedly involved in developing automated drone-control systems, and a major Wildberries logistics center in Russia’s Vladimir region. The attacks damaged a university building in Belgorod and forced evacuations at the 171,900-square-meter logistics hub in Vorsha.
