Ukrainian drone operators from the Khyzhak Brigade struck a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple-launch rocket system that Russian forces had concealed inside a shelter, Ukraine’s Joint Forces Task Force reported on October 21.
According to footage released by the command, the Grad was detected despite efforts to hide it from Ukrainian reconnaissance.

Drone operators also identified and struck other Russian targets, including concealed vehicles, warehouses, and communications antennas.
The footage showed several Russian UAZ-452 vans, commonly known as “Bukhankas,” hidden inside shelters in an attempt to protect them from Ukrainian strikes.
The concealment did not prevent Ukrainian operators from locating the vehicles and attacking their positions, the Joint Forces Task Force reported.

The command noted that Ukrainian drone crews continue using reconnaissance and strike operations to locate equipment and infrastructure Russian forces attempt to hide.
Destroying vehicles, warehouses, communications equipment, and artillery systems reduces Russian operational capabilities and disrupts unit activity, the Joint Forces Task Force stated.
The drone strikes come amid wider Ukrainian efforts to disrupt Russian offensive operations and degrade the forces supporting them. On October 20, Brigadier General of the 3rd Army Corps Andrii Biletskyi reported that Ukraine’s Operation Vivaldi had eliminated a Russian bridgehead along the Chornyi Zherebets River and left the 144th Motor Rifle Division effectively unable to operate as an organized military force.
