Poland won the selection process over three other European competitors: Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway.

Evaluators rated the Polish proposal highest during the initial application phase.

“A historic decision! A service center for PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems will be established in Poland! Four countries, besides Poland—Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway—competed for the European location of this investment. Already at the application stage, the Polish proposal was rated highest,” Sobkowiak-Czarnecka wrote.

Officials emphasized that the agreement resulted from persistent team negotiations and direct cooperation with the United States.

On July 24, Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka proposed a trilateral framework involving the United States, Poland, and Ukraine to produce interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems in a secure location.

During her visit to Washington, where she met with representatives from the Pentagon and the US State Department, she highlighted the high global demand for Patriot interceptors and emphasized that housing the manufacturing process in a safe area would make the arrangement highly beneficial for all three nations.
