This follows a proposal by the country's leadership to use public funds to provide access for students, young people, and older citizens to films highlighting specific historical epochs, as reported by The Moscow Times.

Simultaneously, educational authorities announced plans to integrate short ideological features focused on patriotism into school curricula starting from the fifth grade.

These sessions are intended to be incorporated into existing educational frameworks and specialized cultural studies programs. Officials stated that dozens of mini-films have been produced to showcase figures associated with historical events as well as Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

In addition to historical programming, domestic studios are producing content themed around Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, The Moscow Times reported.

A production company recently sought 50 million rubles (approximately $551,000) in state backing for a youth-oriented adventure project focusing on drone operation.

The storyline follows a school student who transitions from gaming to participating in a drone piloting contest, with promotional materials drawing thematic parallels to historical aviation figures.

Labeling the fight for children’s minds as a “new front,” Russian leader Vladimir Putin mandated a nationwide “federal programme of upbringing” aimed at cultivating militaristic patriotism, which culminated in the formal introduction of state-sponsored patriotic curricula inside Russian kindergartens.
