The story follows a young woman attempting to fulfill a long-standing promise, only to discover that the cost of doing so is far greater than she expected. The illustrated work was published in a magazine by Ukrainian publishing house ARK.UA.

She creates artwork for books, posters, and postcards, with her illustrations featured in publications by Ukrainian publishers Vivat and The Old Lion Publishing House. Ukrainian photographer Roman Pilipey has been recognized as the National Press Photographers Association's National Photojournalist of the Year for 2026, receiving the award for a body of work produced in Ukraine for Agence France-Presse over the past year.

He recalled that the country had endured a winter of large-scale Russian attacks that left many civilians without heating or water, while the pace of strikes has since intensified amid a continuing shortage of air defense systems.
