Ukrainian forces carried out a record 31,398 logistics and evacuation missions using unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) in October, the first time the monthly total has exceeded 30,000, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence reported on November 6.

The ministry noted that all missions were recorded in the DELTA combat system and verified by Brave1 specialists.

The number of UGV missions has risen steadily throughout 2026, increasing from 7,511 in January to 31,398 in October. Over the first ten months of the year, the monthly number of missions increased more than fourfold.

According to the Ministry of Defence, Ukrainian units recorded:

  • 7,511 missions in January;

  • 7,960 in February;

  • 9,072 in March;

  • 11,028 in April;

  • 14,059 in May;

  • 16,663 in June;

  • 19,935 in July;

  • 25,136 in August;

  • 28,491 in September;

  • 31,398 in October.

UGVs are increasingly used in the most dangerous areas of the front to deliver ammunition, food, and water while reducing the need to expose service members. The ministry added that ground robots are also used to evacuate wounded personnel.

Verified UGV missions are rewarded through the ePoints system, allowing units to exchange accumulated points for drones, electronic warfare systems, and ground robots through the Brave1 Market military marketplace.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has continued expanding the range of ground robotic systems available to military units. The ministry previously reported that amphibious UGVs had been added to Brave1 Market, with a separate category created for systems capable of operating across both land and water.

Ukraine’s rapid expansion of ground robotics is also influencing US military development. On November 5, UNITED24 Media reported that the Pentagon had committed more than $115 million to UGV projects in fiscal 2026 while studying Ukraine’s battlefield use of cheaper, replaceable ground robots.
