Ukrainian Engineers Test Advanced Demining Tech at Specialized Complex

Ukrainian military specialists have successfully integrated advanced high-tech robotic systems into demining operations during a recent specialized exercise.
Servicemen from the 47th Separate Engineering Brigade deployed the ScanJack 3500 heavy demining vehicle and the GCS-200 unmanned remote-controlled platform during the Ukrainian Training Testing Complex event, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 26.

This primary evaluation platform serves as a critical testing site for newly introduced humanitarian and mechanized mine clearance methodologies developed to address the massive contamination resulting from Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The operation highlighted how specialized equipment functions under the control of professional engineering units.

The demonstration allowed Ukrainian officials and international partners to directly observe the field capabilities of these heavy robotic platforms in simulated operational environments.

According to official data provided by the Support Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these technologies are being integrated into standard defensive and structural security frameworks to accelerate reclamation efforts.
While Ukrainian forces actively test advanced demining technologies on the home front, the country’s defense sector is also expanding its international footprint through high-tech partnerships abroad.
European tank manufacturer KNDS cooperated with Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies (UUT) in the field of unmanned ground vehicles, according to an announcement by KNDS France on June 25.
The French branch of KNDS planned to work on the industrial production of ground drones for European armies. This cooperation took practical shape through the integration of a KNDS Robotics kit onto the Ukrainian RAVLYK platform. Based on those initial results, both companies intended to continue their collaboration and explored the potential terms of a future partnership.
