Tank Maker KNDS Teams Up With Ukraine’s UUT to Build Ground Drones for European Armies

European tank manufacturer KNDS will cooperate with Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies (UUT) in the field of unmanned ground vehicles, KNDS France announced on June 25.
The French branch of KNDS said it plans to work on the industrial production of ground drones for European armies.
We bring you stories from the ground. Your support keeps our team in the field.
The cooperation has already taken practical shape through the integration of a KNDS Robotics kit onto the Ukrainian RAVLYK platform.
Based on the first joint results, the two companies plan to continue cooperation and explore the terms of a future partnership.
In a comment to Militarnyi, UUT said it will provide KNDS with platforms without transferring intellectual property rights.

“We will provide the platform, which we will program ourselves or jointly. KNDS will integrate its own weapons onto it,” a representative of UUT said.
At the recent Eurosatory exhibition, the Ukrainian company presented the third generation of its RAVLYK system—the UMP-3, Militarnyi wrote.
The RAVLYK UMP-3 unmanned ground vehicle is built on a 6×6 wheeled chassis. It has a payload capacity of 500 kilograms, while the platform itself weighs between 650 and 1,040 kilograms depending on the installed modules.

The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 12 km/h. Its autonomous operating time in stationary mode is up to 72 hours, while its range on a single charge exceeds 25 kilometers.
Earlier, a Ukrainian unmanned ground vehicle RAVLYK completed its mission on the front despite coming under artillery fire and being hit three times by Russian FPV drones.
