50 North Korean Soldiers Reportedly Killed in Action in Kursk Region Over 3 Days

Soldiers of the 8th Regiment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine killed in action 50 and wounded 47 North Korean soldiers over the course of 3 days in Russia’s Kursk region. In addition, they destroyed 2 armored vehicles, 2 cars, and an all-terrain-vehicle in use by Russian forces.

This information was reported on the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s official Telegram channel on December 17.

Up to 30 North Korean soldiers were killed or wounded during assaults on Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region between December 14 and 15, according to Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR). Additionally, 3 North Korean servicemen were reported missing.

Following these losses, Russian assault groups have been replenished with new personnel to sustain continued offensive actions in the Kursk region, particularly from the 94th Separate Brigade of the North Korean Army.

Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian special drone unit 'Ptakhy Madyara' shared footage showing the aftermath of a battle in the Kursk region, where the bodies of Russian soldiers were found alongside those of North Korean soldiers.

On December 14, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Russia had deployed North Korean soldiers for the first time to attack Ukrainian positions in Russia’s Kursk region.
