Mediazona, in collaboration with the BBC and a team of volunteers, maintains a name-by-name list of killed Russian soldiers, compiled from open sources.

This was reported by Meduza on February 24.

Mediazona acknowledges that the list is incomplete, as many deaths go unreported publicly. Additionally, journalists caution that the list may contain errors and invite readers to submit corrections.

As of February 24, 2025, the website contains 95,323 names of killed Russian soldiers.

During his speech at the Munich Security Conference on February 15, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian army lost almost 250,000 soldiers during its full-scale invasion.

At the same time, the latest figures by The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces state 868,230 Russian losses, which include both killed and injured.
