Multiple explosions were heard on the morning of July 8, when Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine, including Kyiv. 

Russia’s missiles hit the children’s hospital “Ohmatdyt”, a residential building, and other civilian infrastructure in the center of Kyiv. At least 22 people were killed and 72 injured. The air-raid alert lasted for one and a half hours.

The blast waves damaged hundreds of windows in residential buildings and local businesses.

The State Emergency Service of Kyiv reported Russia hit a private maternity hospital in the Dniprovskyi district.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, a residential building has been struck, and the evacuation of residents is ongoing.
