Azerbaijan Donates $2 Million in Energy Equipment to Support Ukraine

Azerbaijan has delivered humanitarian aid to Ukraine to support the country’s energy sector. The shipment includes more than 50 types of high- and low-voltage cable products, generators of various capacities, and transformer equipment.
“This assistance was provided under the Agreement on the Donation of Energy Equipment for the Restoration of Energy Infrastructure,” Ukraine’s Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk announced on Facebook on September 1.
She noted that Ukraine and Azerbaijan signed the agreement on August 11 this year, following Baku’s decision to allocate $2 million from its reserve fund for the purchase and delivery of electrical equipment.

“Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Azerbaijan has supplied Ukraine with 125 humanitarian shipments weighing a total of 2,110 tons and worth more than $11.5 million. The aid has included generators, power transformers, transformer substations, cable products, and other critical equipment,” the minister emphasized.
This marks the fourth agreement since Russia’s full-scale invasion under which Azerbaijan has provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine’s energy sector.
According to Hrynchuk, Baku’s support remains vital for Ukraine. Thanks to this cooperation, Ukraine is strengthening its energy infrastructure, which suffers daily attacks from Russia. Each resource provided helps energy workers respond quickly to damage, restore facilities faster, and bring light and heat back to the homes of millions of Ukrainians.
Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasizing that Baku’s stance has remained unchanged since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
