Poland has also stepped in to support Ukraine’s energy resilience, sending 400 generators of different capacities from its state reserves to Kyiv and nearby communities.

Japan has also pledged substantial support for Ukraine as it continues to face energy and humanitarian challenges. The Japanese government has announced a $6 billion package of humanitarian and technical assistance for Ukraine in 2026, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada  reported.

The commitment was highlighted by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Olena Kondratiuk, who thanked Japan’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Masashi Nakagome, for Japan’s continued support during what she described as a difficult period for the country.

According to the Verkhovna Rada, Japan has already delivered more than 2,500 power generators of various capacities to Ukraine, along with over 65 transformers, 10 power generation units, and other critical equipment used to stabilize and restore the country’s energy infrastructure.

Earlier, Ukraine received a new delivery of humanitarian assistance from Italy, which includes 39 industrial boiler units with a combined capacity of almost 53 megawatts.
