“Catastrophic” Flu Outbreak Reportedly Cripples Russian Troops on Kherson Front

Outbreaks of seasonal flu and respiratory infections are sweeping through Russian forces in the Kherson sector, severely degrading manpower, according to the ATESH partisan movement on November 25.
ATESH notes that its informants within Russia’s 127th Separate Reconnaissance Brigade and several other units are describing what they call a “catastrophic surge” of illness.

According to ATESH, soldiers are being ordered to remain for months in cold, damp fortifications without access to proper medicine, heating, or basic medical care.
The group alleges that commanders are ignoring worsening conditions and forcing troops to stay in frontline shelters even as temperatures continue to drop.
ATESH says entire platoons are being transferred to field hospitals only when their condition becomes critical, by which point, according to the group, effective treatment is often impossible. The movement describes the situation as a result of “criminal indifference” by the Russian command.

The partisans also claim the issue is not limited to the Kherson axis but appears across large stretches of the Russian front line, where supply shortages continue to affect warm clothing, food, and basic medications. With winter settling in, ATESH warns that the overall situation for Russian formations will “only get worse.”
Earlier, ATESH reported that a Russian airborne unit operating in the Zaporizhzhia direction was reportedly experiencing a breakdown in discipline due to widespread alcohol abuse, leading to fatalities and posing risks to fellow soldiers.
