Civilians Film Pantsir-S1 Burning After Drone Strike in Belgorod—The “Drone Killer” Gets Killed, Video

Ukrainian drone operators hit a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system in Russia’s Belgorod region, according to ArmyInform on March 2.

ArmyInform reported the strike was carried out by the 15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade, known as “Black Forest.”

The report said the system was on duty in a field near a road.

Although the Pantsir is designed to counter drones, Russian air defenders failed to hit either the Ukrainian reconnaissance drone or the strike drone.

“Now it is gone. Report complete,” the caption says under the video.

Footage also showed civilians filming the burning system from the roadside. The video captured a secondary detonation of the Pantsir’s ammunition.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s General Staff said units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a UAV production facility in Valuyki in Russia’s Belgorod region to disrupt drone manufacturing and reduce Russia’s combat capabilities.

The report added that hits and a fire were recorded and that the extent of the damage was still being clarified.

The General Staff said the strike was part of broader operations aimed at weakening Russia’s military and economic potential by targeting critical infrastructure on Russian territory, and Ukrainian outlets also linked the attack to a wider series of strikes that day against energy and industrial targets in Russia cited by the General Staff.
