The Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic is preparing to launch a second initiative to supply Ukraine with artillery ammunition for 2025, in which Czech manufacturers will participate.

This was reported by the Czech Defense Ministry, Jana Černochová.

Once again, the Czech Republic will serve as a mediator between donors—European countries—and five Czech arms companies that previously supplied ammunition under the initial Czech initiative. According to the article, these companies will continue their supply into the following year.

"This is a natural extension of the existing mechanism. In addition, the sooner donors allocate funds, the sooner our companies will sign long-term contracts," Černochová said.

According to the reports, the new Czech initiative will involve the following companies: Czechoslovak Group, STV Group, Omnipol with Ompo Holding, Colt CZ Group SE, owned by Česká zbrojovka, and DSS.

The Agency for Interstate Defense Cooperation under the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic is currently collecting information on what these companies can deliver to Ukraine next year.

On July 22, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský reported that 100,000 rounds of ammunition would be delivered to Ukraine during July and August, as part of the Czech initiative.

The current Czech initiative was launched in February 2024 and was announced to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with 50,000 to 100,000 large-caliber shells monthly.
