Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,070 Troops, 3 Tanks, 29 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces suffered another day of heavy losses across the frontline, with 1,070 personnel killed or wounded over the past 24 hours, according to Ukraine’s General Staff on February 25.

The figures come as Ukraine entered the 1,463rd day of Russia’s full-scale war of aggression.

According to updated estimates, Russia’s total combat losses since February 24, 2022, are approximately:

  • personnel—about 1,262,490 (+1,070);

  • tanks—11,701 (+3);

  • armored combat vehicles—24,091 (+5);

  • artillery systems—37,589 (+29);

  • MLRS—1,655 (+1);

  • air defense systems—1,305 (0);

  • aircraft—435 (0);

  • helicopters—348 (0);

  • operational-tactical UAVs—146,457 (+886);

  • cruise missiles—4,347 (+33);

  • warships/boats—29 (0);

  • submarines—2 (0);

  • vehicles and fuel tankers—79,971 (+145);

  • special equipment—4,075 (+1).

The General Staff reported 164 combat engagements along the frontline during the past day.

Russian forces also intensified aerial and artillery activity. According to operational information released at 8:00 a.m., Russian troops carried out 83 airstrikes, dropping 220 guided aerial bombs.

In addition, they launched 5,964 suicide drones and conducted 3,293 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 136 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.

Earlier, a massive data analysis confirmed the identities of over 200,000 Russian soldiers killed during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Current estimates suggest that one in every 25 Russian men aged 18 to 49 has been either killed or severely wounded on the battlefield.
