According to Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, who published corresponding videos on February 24, Ukrainian units targeted and hit a Russian Uragan MLRS in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Buk-M1 and Pantsir-S1 air defense systems in temporary occupied Donetsk region and Crimea.

According to Brovdi, the Uragan system was detected at a firing position while shelling Ukrainian defensive positions in the Zaporizhzhia region. Footage released by the commander shows the launcher being struck while moving along a field road.

The strike was carried out by drone pilots of the 7th Battalion “Kairos” of the 414th Brigade, known as “Madyar’s Birds,” and the launcher was destroyed following impact, according to the statement.

In temporary occupied Crimea, Ukrainian drone operators struck a Russian Pantsir-S1 short-range air defense system near the settlement of Krasnosilske. According to Brovdi, the operation was conducted by the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

The same unit also targeted a Russian radar system identified as either P-18 or Malakhit near Novofedorivka in Crimea, which was reportedly operating as part of Russia’s integrated air defense network.

In the Donetsk region near the village of Svobodne, drone pilots of the 412th Brigade “Nemesis” detected and destroyed a launcher of a Russian Buk-M1 medium-range air defense system, according to the commander’s statement.

The BM-27 Uragan is a 220 mm multiple launch rocket system designed for area bombardment. The Buk-M1 is a medium-range surface-to-air missile system intended to intercept aircraft and cruise missiles, while the Pantsir-S1 combines short-range missiles and anti-aircraft guns for point defense. Radar systems such as the P-18 or Malakhit are used for airspace surveillance and target acquisition within Russia’s layered air defense architecture.

According to Brovdi, the destruction of “components of the enemy’s air defense system of long-, medium-, and short-range” remains one of the priorities of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Forces reported striking a Russian missile battalion of the 15th Separate Coastal Missile Brigade in temporarily occupied Crimea, along with ammunition depots, a logistics warehouse in Donetsk region, and a drone command post in Mykolaiv region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Hits were recorded, with the extent of Russian losses still being clarified.
