Ukrainian strike drones successfully targeted two Project 22460 “Okhotnik” class patrol ships belonging to the Russian FSB Coast Guard in occupied Crimea.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released thermal imagery of the engagement, confirming the strike took place during the early hours of February 21, 2026.

According to the General Staff, the operation targeted the vessels while they were stationed near Inkerman, within the Sevastopol harbor.

Geospatial analysis suggests the ships were moored at Pier No. 52 in Inkerman Bay at the time of the attack. While the full extent of the damage is currently being assessed, the strike marks a significant breach of the harbor’s security perimeter.

The Project 22460 “Okhotnik” class vessels are among the most modern patrol units in the Russian FSB’s fleet.

Designed for territorial water protection and long-range patrolling, these 630-ton ships are equipped with AK-630 30mm rotary cannons and can carry a Ka-226 helicopter. As of February 2026, only 14 such vessels were operational across all Russian regional coast guard divisions.

Earlier on February 21, Ukrainian drone units destroyed a Russian Tornado-S—the Kremlin’s precision-guided equivalent to the HIMARS—while it was actively firing toward Zaporizhzhia.

According to Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, a strike drone hit the launcher mid-salvo, triggering a massive detonation of its satellite-guided rockets. This marks a rare and significant blow, as it is only the fourth confirmed destruction of such a system since the start of the invasion.
