Daily Update: Russia Loses 980 Troops, 33 Artillery Systems, and Nearly 1,200 Drones in One Day

Russian forces lost another 980 troops over the past 24 hours, along with five armored combat vehicles, according to an update released by Ukraine’s General Staff on February 10.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, Moscow’s total estimated battlefield losses have climbed to roughly 1,248,560 personnel, the statement said.

The latest figures also list cumulative equipment losses of 11,656 tanks, 24,018 armored fighting vehicles, and 37,089 artillery systems.

Russian forces have additionally lost 1,297 air defense systems, 129,160 operational-tactical drones, and more than 77,700 military vehicles and fuel tankers, among other equipment.

Over the same 24-hour period, Ukrainian officials recorded 168 combat engagements along the front line.

According to the General Staff, Russian forces launched one missile strike using two missiles, carried out 95 airstrikes dropping 249 guided aerial bombs, deployed 6,629 attack drones, and conducted 2,946 shelling attacks against Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 68 strikes from multiple-launch rocket systems.

Ukrainian defenders, the military said, continue to hold defensive lines while inflicting sustained losses on Russian troops and equipment.

Earlier, reports emerged that in January, total Russian military losses amounted to 31,700 personnel, exceeding the number of reinforcements added to Russian units during the same period by 9,000.
