The Center for Countering Disinformation (CPD) reported that a new wave of fake videos is circulating on TikTok, falsely claiming a “mass surrender” of Ukrainian soldiers near Pokrovsk. According to the CPD on November 5, these materials were generated using artificial intelligence.

The Center stated that most of the videos are accompanied by captions in several foreign languages. Accounts spreading the content show signs of a coordinated network created specifically to promote Kremlin narratives among foreign audiences.

The CPD emphasized that the campaign’s goal is to create the impression among international users that Ukraine is "losing the war" and that military assistance “makes no sense.”

Inside Ukraine, these fakes are designed to demoralize the population and instill a perception of a catastrophic situation on the front lines.

“Russian forces continue attempts to capture Pokrovsk, and intense fighting for the city is ongoing. The narrative about a ‘mass surrender of Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk’ is part of Russia’s information operation,” the CPD said.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian military intelligence intensified operations in Pokrovsk to prevent further Russian expansion toward the city and secure key logistics.
