Ukraine’s HUR Forces Intensify Operations in Pokrovsk to Thwart Russian Expansion

Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) stated that it continues its operation in the critical logistics area of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, with intense fighting ongoing against Russian forces, HUR wrote in a Telegram post on November 4.

The operation, led by the “Timur Special Unit,” is focused on defending key supply lines.

“That is where the largest number of the occupier’s assault forces are currently concentrated, and where significant offensive activity is taking place. Fighting continues inside the city. This is their main objective—specifically, Pokrovsk,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said October 27.

Zelenskyy emphasized that every gain made by Ukrainian forces in this direction is a strategic contribution to the defense of the entire country.

Following a successful airborne operation, HUR stated that its special forces secured key positions, established a ground corridor, and reinforced their forces.

The operation’s main goal is to thwart Russian attempts to expand their firepower influence over logistics within the area, HUR wrote.

Other HUR special units are also carrying out missions in the sector. For security reasons, specific details of the operation are currently withheld.

HUR also stated that Ukrainian special forces are coordinating closely with all components of Ukraine’s security and defense forces.

Previously, it was reported that Special forces and aviation units of HUR have launched a complex airborne operation in the city of Pokrovsk.
