Over the past two weeks, a specialized unit from Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR)—known as the “Prymary”—has been systematically attacking Russian air defense systems in the occupied Donbas, achieving confirmed successes.

This was reported by HUR on October 28.

According to Main Directorate of Intelligence, these recent operations have resulted in the destruction of key Russian assets: two 48Ya6-K1 “Podlyot” radar stations and one 9A82 launch vehicle belonging to the high-value S-300V anti-aircraft missile complex.

Beyond the destruction of these air defense components, the “Prymary” also successfully targeted a group of Russian military personnel and the KamAZ truck they were using for transport.

The 48Ya6-K1 “Podlyot” was built specifically to detect targets flying at low and extremely low altitudes. This specialization allows it to track threats like cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and helicopters that are designed to fly beneath the coverage of many standard ground-based radars.

The 9A82 launch vehicle is a key component of the Russian S-300V anti-aircraft missile system. This vehicle is technically classified as a Transporter-Erector-Launcher and Radar. Unlike wheeled S-300 versions, the 9A82 is mounted on a heavy, tracked chassis, making it fully mobile and capable of deploying alongside armored ground forces.

Earlier, Ukrainian drone operators from the “Magyar's Birds” unit knocked out a Russian armored vehicle, which intelligence later determined was actually a converted cash-in-transit truck.
