Denmark Announces 20th Military Package for Ukraine’s Defense Totaling $116 Million

Denmark to provide Ukraine with a new aid package in the amount of about $116 million (783 million Danish kroner).

This was reported by the press service of the Danish government. 

The funds will be allocated for acquiring military equipment through both the Ukrainian defense sector and international partners.

"Putin continues unabated the brutal and bloody attacks against the Ukrainians. It is crucial that Denmark continues to support Ukraine so that they are able to defend themselves. This twentieth military support package has been put together on the basis of Ukraine's wishes and needs and must support Ukraine both in the short term and in the coming years," said the Danish Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen.

According to the Minister, the 20th package of military support was compiled based on the wishes and needs of Ukraine and will be useful both in the short term and in the coming years. 

Denmark has been consistently supporting Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. At the end of July, the Dutch and Danish governments announced plans to deliver 14 refurbished Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine before the end of summer.
