Ukrainian drones struck a facility linked to Russia’s defense industry in temporarily occupied Sevastopol overnight, damaging infrastructure used to service air defense systems, according to the Telegram channel Crimean Wind on March 19.

The target appears to be the “Granit” production and technical base, located along Fiolent Highway. The site is reportedly involved in maintaining and repairing air defense systems used by Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

Residents claimed at least five drones hit the building during the attack.

Images circulating online show significant damage to parts of the facility, which is associated with Russia’s state-owned defense conglomerate Almaz-Antey.

Emergency services and occupation authorities were deployed to the site following the strike. The surrounding area was cordoned off, with heavy police presence and ambulances on standby.

The facility has reportedly been operating in occupied Crimea since 2016. Independent analysts from the Dnipro OSINT community have also confirmed signs of damage consistent with a successful strike.

The attack marks another apparent effort by Ukrainian forces to degrade Russian air defense capabilities and logistical infrastructure on the occupied peninsula.

Earlier, a sabotage operation near Simferopol in temporarily occupied Crimea disrupted Russian military logistics, after a locomotive used to transport supplies to frontline units was put out of action.
