Explosions in Belgorod Region as Ukraine Bombs 2 Bridges During Offensive, Video

The Ukrainian Air Force has reportedly targeted key bridges in the Belgorod region, striking vital infrastructure in Grafivka and Nadezhdivka, according to analysts from the Dnipro open-source intelligence OSINT group.
Both bridges connect to the town of Krasna Yaruga, a strategic location from which Russian forces are reportedly coordinating operations to eliminate a Ukrainian bridgehead.
Ukrainian military activity in the Belgorod region has been ongoing for at least a week, with Ukraine’s Special Forces announcing on March 24 the destruction of four Russian military helicopters in the Belgorod region using US-supplied HIMARS rocket systems. The strike targeted two Ka-52 attack helicopters and two Mi-8 transport helicopters.
The only official statement from Russian authorities came from the Ministry of Defense on March 18, which mentioned an attempt by Ukrainian forces to advance toward the settlements of Demidovka and Prilessye in the Krasnoyaruzsky district.
These settlements lie near the Belgorod-Kursk border, and according to Russian reports, about 200 Ukrainian soldiers in 29 vehicles participated in the attack.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, announced an evacuation of residents from the border areas, describing the situation as dire.
Analysts tracking the situation also reported that, as of March 26, Ukrainian forces were engaged in combat for control of two settlements in the region. The Ukrainian analytical project DeepState has mapped a “gray zone” of approximately 13 square kilometers in this area of Russian territory.
Kyiv has not provided any official comment on the ongoing situation in Belgorod. Notably, during a Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region in August 2024, Russia initially claimed to have repelled the attack, only for these reports to later be disproven.
Earlier, it was reported the fourth-generation nuclear-powered submarine Perm will be the first to be officially equipped with Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, according to documents prepared for Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s visit to the Murmansk region.
