On July 18, Finnish rock band The Rasmus arrived in Kyiv ahead of their headlining performance at the Atlas Festival this weekend.

Atlas Festival shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of the band’s arrival at Kyiv’s central railway station after traveling by Ukrzaliznytsia train.

“We just arrived in Kyiv on this train. We’re so excited to be here,” the musicians said.

According to Atlas Festival organizers, The Rasmus will headline the festival’s main stage on Saturday, July 19. Before their performance, the band plans to explore Kyiv, soak in the festival atmosphere, and take part in the Good Donations foundation initiative.

For the second year in a row, the foundation is partnering with Atlas Festival to raise funds for children’s hospitals across Ukraine.

This year’s goal is to purchase critical medical equipment for the “Okhmatdyt” National Children’s Hospital in Kyiv the facility hit by a Russian missile strike in July 2024.

Earlier, Legendary American director Samuel Bayer—the visionary behind iconic music videos for Nirvana, Metallica, David Bowie, and other global stars—visited Ukraine at the invitation of the Cultural Forces initiative.

During his visit, Bayer traveled to frontline areas and recently liberated regions in the East of Ukraine. His goal was not only to document the destruction and resilience but also to tell the stories of those who survived occupation, lost their homes and loved ones, yet continue to embody the unbreakable human spirit that shines even in the darkest times.
