Kallas: Trump’s Russia 50-Day Deadline “Very Long” While Civilians Die Daily in Ukraine

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has welcomed US President Donald Trump’s tougher stance on Russia but criticized the 50-day deadline he has reportedly given Moscow to negotiate a peace deal, calling it “a very long time” given the ongoing civilian casualties in Ukraine, according to The Telegraph on July 14.

“It is very positive President Trump is taking a strong stance on Russia,” Kallas told journalists. “On the other hand, 50 days is a very long time if we see that they are killing innocent civilians every day.”
Previously, it was reported that US President Donald Trump has announced a new agreement between the United States and NATO to supply military equipment to Ukraine, with European allies covering the costs.
On the same day, Trump also confirmed that Ukraine will receive new Patriot missile defense systems from the United States as part of the delivery of 17 Patriot systems.
