Kharkiv Region Targeted in 22,000 Russian Strikes Since Full-Scale Invasion

Russia has shelled the Kharkiv region nearly 22,000 times during the three years of the full-scale invasion, according to Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, on February 25.
The majority of the strikes, nearly 1,900, were carried out using guided aviation bombs. Russian forces also launched 1,500 missile attacks and more than 1,260 assaults with multiple launch rocket systems. In addition, 549 drones were deployed for attacks on the region.

In the first two months of 2025, the region was shelled 450 times, with over 100 KABs, UAVs, and other weapons used.
Earlier, on February 4, it was confirmed that Russian forces maintained control over the northern part of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, where the area north of the Vovcha River remained occupied.

While the city was largely destroyed with little cover, Russian troops were periodically reinforced and sent on assaults, which Ukraine’s Defense Forces successfully repelled.
