Leopard Tank Roars Into Action as Ukrainian Forces Eliminate Russian Troops Near Pokrovsk

Units of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated Russian troops in the eastern part of the settlement of Hryshyne, northwest of Pokrovsk.
According to the 7th Corps on February 18, Russian forces continue to exert pressure in the area, using multiple advance routes and operating in small assault groups. Ukrainian defenders are detecting and destroying the enemy during attempts to infiltrate and gain a foothold on the outskirts of the settlement.

Recently, taking advantage of foggy conditions, Russian units once again attempted to enter Hryshyne. Ukraine’s Defense Forces eliminated around 10 occupiers who were hiding in private homes and non-residential buildings in the eastern part of the village.
A Leopard tank crew from the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade engaged Russian positions. In addition, units of the 147th Separate Artillery Brigade of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps struck Russian shelters using Nemesis and Heavy Shot bomber drones.
In a separate development щn the North-Slobozhanskyi axis, two Russian servicemen surrendered and later persuaded three more to lay down their arms, the 158th Separate Mechanized Brigade reported.
Ukrainian troops initially captured two soldiers with the call signs “Gorets” and “Khirurg,” then used a drone equipped with a loudspeaker to warn other Russian forces that their position was untenable.
“Russian soldiers, we know where you are hiding. We are giving you one last chance. In one hour, your shelter will be completely destroyed. If you surrender, you will live and return to your families. All your groups that moved with you yesterday have already been destroyed and are lying in the fields,” the audio message broadcast to the Russians said.

The two captured soldiers then urged their comrades to surrender. Following the appeal, three more Russian servicemen emerged from hiding and surrendered to Ukrainian forces.
Earlier, Ukrainian troops conducted more than 7,000 combat and logistical operations with ground-based robotic systems in January alone, highlighting the accelerating integration of unmanned technology into frontline operations, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said.
Fedorov noted that unmanned ground vehicles have evolved from limited pilot projects into standard tools used by multiple units along the front. Six months ago, he added, the use of robotic platforms to evacuate wounded soldiers was still uncommon.
