Lithuania Pledges €10 Million for Ukraine's Palianytsia Rocket Drone and Long-Range Defense

On September 11, Lituania announced providing €10 million to finance Ukraine’s long-range capabilities, including the Palianytsia rocket drone. 

The announcement came during Lithuania’s President Gitanas Nausėda’s visit to Ukraine, where he opened the Lithuanian-Ukrainian Defense Industry Business Forum in Kyiv together with Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

“I'll start with the great news, Lithuania is providing €10 million to finance our long-range capabilities, including the Palianytsia rocket drone. This is a huge support that will help Ukraine defend itself even more effectively,” wrote Umerov.

Nausėda’ also stated on his official social media account that a memorandum on defense cooperation was signed during the forum.

President Nausėda and Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa arrived in Kyiv on September 11 to participate in the Crimea Platform summit .
