Mobilization Rates in Ukraine Surpass Armed Forces' Estimates
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is reported to be satisfied with the current pace of mobilization, following the implementation of the mobilization law, according to the Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko.
A bill on demobilization could be submitted to the parliament of Ukraine Verkhovna Rada, if the rates hold steady until summer’s end.
“The General Staff expresses strong satisfaction with the pace of mobilization. The number of conscripts has surpassed expectations, and they hope this trend will continue. Should these mobilization rates be sustained or even increase by summer’s end, then a draft law on demobilization could be developed and submitted to the Rada,” Kostenko stated.
It is estimated that the project’s completion will be around October this year.
Additionally, on June 19, Deputy Minister of Defense Kateryna Chernohorenko reported that more than 500,000 military registration documents have already been received by “Rezerv+” users, an official military draft application. “That’s almost a third of all data updates in the app,” Chernohorenko said.
