No Attacks on Kyiv During US Envoy’s Visit, Ukrainian FM Points to Washington’s Power

On July 21, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that the absence of Russian attacks on Kyiv during the recent visit of US Envoy General Keith Kellogg indicates that the United States can influence the situation and help reduce tensions.
He made these remarks during a joint press conference with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot held in Kyiv.
According to Sybiha, the lack of attacks while the US special envoy was in the capital suggests a deterrent effect.

“It is notable that no attacks on Kyiv were recorded during his visit. This shows that the role of the United States remains critically important for security,” Sybiha said.
The minister also emphasized the importance of direct communication with the US side, noting that Ukrainian officials were able to provide key information about the frontline situation and Ukraine’s needs during their meetings.
“We must counter the spread of Russian narratives, especially the false claim that Russia is winning the war. That is not true. Ukraine is not losing, and it is very important that this message remains dominant in the international discourse,” Sybiha added.
Previously, it was reported that Keith Kellogg visited Ukrainian defense facilities and praised the country’s rapid technological advancements, particularly in the field of drone warfare, urging the US defense industry to learn from Ukraine’s agility and innovation.
