North Korean soldiers have reportedly been spotted fighting alongside Russian forces in the Kharkiv direction. The exact number of troops has not been disclosed.

This was reported by Suspilne citing the Commander of the combined unit of the 153rd separate mechanized brigade, Nazarii Kishak.

“We can already see North Korean servicemen on our front. I see that they are dividing into units, reinforcing their combat groups, and accumulating small numbers on the front line. They are waiting for worsening weather conditions, as this would be the best time for the enemy to conduct assault operations,” said Kishak during the national telethon on November 22.

According to the Commander, the Russian forces continue their "meat assaults" without significant use of heavy equipment.

“The equipment they have left consists of a couple of half-burnt tanks and a two-wheel tractor,” Kishak stated.

The presence of North Korean soldiers in the Kharkiv direction was also confirmed by Yevhenii Romanov, spokesperson for the Operational Tactical Group "Kharkiv," in a statement to Suspilne.

North Korea is reportedly considering deploying up to 100,000 troops to aid Russia in its war against Ukraine, according to assessments from some members of the G-20 countries.
