Norway Deploys F-35 Jets to Poland to Protect Key Ukrainian Logistic Hub in Rzeszów

Norway is sending its F-35 fighter jets to Poland this fall to reinforce NATO’s air and missile defense along the Alliance’s eastern flank.
The announcement was made by Norwaigian Ministry of Defense via X on June 30.
The jets will be deployed to Rzeszów Airport, supporting the protection of Polish airspace and securing one of the most important logistical hubs for delivering international aid to Ukraine.
“This is a vital contribution. We are helping ensure that support to Ukraine reaches its destination, and that Ukraine can continue its fight for freedom,” said Norwegian Minister of Defense Tore O. Sandvik.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the operation has been carefully planned to ensure that Norway’s own defense readiness and national security remain fully intact.
Earlier, Norwegian defense company Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace officially opened an office in Kyiv, signaling a major step forward in its engagement with Ukraine.
Known for co-developing the NASAMS air defense system, Kongsberg plans to collaborate with Ukrainian partners on missile production and the development of naval drone technologies.
