Ukrainian drone operators scored a double hit on the Lyman front this week, destroying a Russian T-72B3 tank and its nearby ammunition dump with a single FPV strike, according to a video released by the “SIGNUM” battalion of Ukraine’s 53rd Mechanized Brigade on May 19.

Reconnaissance teams from the 81st Air Assault Brigade first spotted the tank, which had been shelling Ukrainian positions from a camouflaged fire point.

“The vehicle kept rolling out of cover to pound our front line,” the SIGNUM operators said.

Once coordinates were confirmed, a first-person-view drone was dispatched to take out two targets at once: the tank itself and an adjacent ammo cache.

Footage shows the Russian tank being struck by the drone. Seconds later, a massive secondary blast ripped through the site, suggesting simultaneous detonation of the tank’s onboard rounds and the stockpile next door.

“Was the tank completely destroyed? Absolutely,” the Ukrainians added. “The explosions kept rolling; that vehicle won’t be driving anywhere again.”

Earlier, Ukrainian drones wiped out the Russian radar system on the seized gas platform. The Security Service of Ukraine confirmed it recently destroyed a Russian radar installation located on a Ukrainian gas extraction platform in the Black Sea. The operation, conducted with both maritime and aerial drones, targeted military equipment illegally placed by occupying forces.
