Over 60 Foreign Diplomats Visit Site of Russian Missile Strike on Kyiv Residential Building

More than 60 foreign diplomats inspected the site of a recent Russian missile strike on a residential building in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district. The visit was organized by Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on the instructions of Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, aiming to provide the international diplomatic corps with direct evidence of the impact of Russia’s continued military actions as was reported by Ukraine’s MFA on June 17.
According to MFA of Ukraine, ambassadors and chargés d’affaires from embassies accredited in Kyiv attended the site visit. They were accompanied by First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhii Kyslytsia, who stated that “the international community must see with their own eyes the consequences of brutal Russian terror.” Ukraine expressed gratitude to the foreign diplomatic corps for their solidarity with the country amid ongoing Russian aggression.

Kyiv has repeatedly called on the international community to intensify pressure on Russia and strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities. “We emphasize the necessity of increasing sanctions pressure on the aggressor and reinforcing support for Ukraine,” the Foreign Ministry stated.
Earlier, Russian forces launched a record drone operation against Kyiv, deploying 440 drones to overwhelm air defenses ahead of a Kh-101 cruise missile strike, according to Ukraine’s Air Force. While most drones were intercepted or neutralized, debris caused fires and damaged residential buildings and infrastructure.
