Partisan Saboteurs Disrupt Russian Military Rail Lines Near Volgograd and in Crimea

Pro-Ukraine partisan units and agents of the Atesh movement carried out coordinated sabotage on railway infrastructure west of Volgograd and on the Crimean Peninsula, derailing ammunition trains and destroying relay cabinets to cripple Russian military logistics, as was reported by group itself on its Telegram channel on July 10.
A decentralized partisan cell reported planting explosives on a track segment just west of Volgograd causing a freight train laden with shells to derail and block the line for several hours.
Regional transport authorities confirmed an unexplained suspension of service but offered no further details on damage or repairs.

That same night, partisans said they set fire to a relay cabinet and disabled signalling equipment along the Simferopol–Sevastopol corridor in occupied Crimea, halting both civilian and military shipments while crews worked to restore functionality, according to local eyewitnesses.
“This operation aims solely at interrupting the flow of weapons and reinforcements to Russian units,” the partisan communiqué stated.
Moscow has branded these fighters as “terrorists” and responded with additional checkpoints and patrols along major rail arteries.
Earlier, it was reported that a partisan cell under the name ATESH disabled a relay cabinet along a railway line in Russia’s Smolensk region—coordinating transports to forces near the Sumy and Chernihiv areas—thereby interrupting military supply movements.
