Poland will allocate $100 million by the end of this year to the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), the multinational initiative used to purchase American weapons for Kyiv, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said ahead of an EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels, Ukrainian media Ukrinform reported on November 20.
“I intend to allocate $100 million from the Foreign Ministry’s budget for military assistance to Ukraine under the PURL program, which provides for the purchase of American weapons,” Sikorski told reporters.
The PURL mechanism—run jointly by the United States, NATO, and partner nations—lets contributing countries pool funding to buy US-made weaponry that Ukraine cannot replace with European alternatives. The system is designed to coordinate donations, speed up procurement, and deliver critical missiles, air-defense interceptors, and ammunition to the front more efficiently.

Countries contribute to a shared fund based on a priority list agreed between Ukraine, the US, and NATO planners. The focus is on high-demand capabilities such as Patriot air-defense components, missile interceptors, and other systems that Europe cannot manufacture at scale quickly enough.
Earlier, reports emerged that Spain was preparing to allocate $1.1 billion in military assistance to Ukraine this year, including the purchase of US-made weapons and additional support to bolster the country’s energy infrastructure ahead of winter.
