Putin’s Security Team Carries FPV Drone Interceptor During Public Appearance, Video

A member of Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s security team was recently spotted carrying what appears to be a portable FPV drone interceptor during a public event.
The footage, published on July 28 by military technology expert Serhii Bezkrestnov (“Flash”) on Telegram, shows the president speaking with military personnel while his security follows closely behind.
One of the bodyguards is seen holding a large green device, partially protruding from a bag—likely due to its size. Experts suggest it is designed to intercept or block FPV drones, which have become an increasingly common threat in both military and civilian spheres.
The presence of such equipment reflects growing concerns over drone-related risks and the evolving nature of high-level security measures.
Previously, it was reported that municipal workers in Moscow have been assigned to monitor the skies for drones using binoculars, as Russian authorities tighten security measures ahead of the Victory Day celebrations.
