Putin issued a stark warning, suggesting that the newly developed Oreshnik missile could be used to strike “decision-making centers in Kyiv,” Ukrainian UNIAN media reported on November 28.

In his statement, Putin emphasized the missile’s destructive power, claiming it reduces everything at the epicenter to “elementary particles, essentially turning into dust.”

When asked whether Russia would target Ukraine’s leadership, Putin responded: “Today, anything is possible during the day.”

His remarks came amid a large-scale Russian missile and drone assault on Ukraine, which Putin framed as retaliation for recent Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory.

The Oreshnik missile, which was recently tested, is believed to have a 5000km range and the potential to carry nuclear warheads.

Previously, Putin stated that the Oreshnik (Kedr) system is capable of targeting even highly fortified and deeply buried facilities. He added that mass deployment of such missiles in a single strike would deliver power comparable to a nuclear strike.
