A rare Russian nuclear support vehicle, believed to be the 15T365, has been filmed while moving under heavy escort—an uncommon sight that provides new insight into the logistical operations of Russia’s Strategic Rocket Forces.

According to Defense Blog on July 31 and open-source intelligence group Exilenova+, the video footage shows the vehicle being transferred from a technical maintenance facility belonging to the 60th Missile Division, a unit under Russia’s 27th Guards Missile Army.

The base is located near Tatishchevo in Saratov region, a region known for its strategic missile infrastructure.

The video, dated July 30, 2025, captures the 15T365 in a military convoy that includes armored personnel carriers and escort vehicles. The scale and composition of the convoy indicate a high-value transfer, consistent with procedures for transporting nuclear-related components.

The 15T365 is a specialized maintenance and transport platform used to support the operation of intercontinental ballistic missile systems such as the RS-24 Yars and RS-12M Topol-M. Its primary role includes servicing and preparing nuclear warheads for deployment.

The vehicle is built on the MAZ-543/MAZ-7310 8×8 wheeled chassis, a platform commonly used in Russian heavy military logistics and originally manufactured in Belarus.

Due to the sensitive nature of its function, the 15T365 is rarely seen in public. Visual documentation of this vehicle is extremely limited, making the footage notable for analysts monitoring Russia’s nuclear infrastructure.

The presence of armored escorts and the route’s security suggest a mission of elevated priority, although no official statement has been issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense. There is currently no indication that the movement was part of a scheduled exercise.

The 60th Missile Division, based in Tatishchevo, operates a mix of silo-based ICBM regiments and plays a central role in Russia’s strategic deterrent. While the 15T365 is not designed to carry nuclear warheads during combat operations, its use in warhead handling and maintenance makes it an integral component of the nuclear command-and-support structure.

Earlier, military vehicles linked to Russia’s 12th Main Directorate—responsible for nuclear weapons maintenance and control—were seen moving through occupied Crimea, including in Kerch.

The trucks bore registration codes associated with nuclear command units, raising concerns about potential provocations amid Russia’s escalating disinformation about Ukrainian threats to nuclear facilities.
