Russia Abducts Dozens of Civilains From Ukrainian Village Just 200 Meters From Border

Around 50 residents of the village of Hrabovske in Ukraine’s eastern Sumy region, about 200 meters from the Russian border, were kidnapped into Russia, local officials told Suspilne on December 20. The village lies about 200 meters from the Russian border.

The village head, Larysa Kremezna, told Suspilne by phone that roughly 50 people remained in Hrabovske at the time and were transported to Russian territory. She said there were no children among those taken.

Deep State co-founder Ruslan Mykula confirmed increased Russian military activity in the Hrabovske area, noting that the situation is still being clarified.

Elsewhere in the region, volunteers from the International Committee of the Red Cross and a special police unit evacuated residents from the villages of Riasne and Lisne on the same day.

According to regional Red Cross representatives, 11 people were evacuated in total—nine from Riasne and two from Lisne—while other residents declined to leave.

Previously, it wa reported that this year has become one of the deadliest for Ukraine’s civilian population due to an increase in Russian shelling, as reported by Kyoko Goto, a representative from the UN Department of Political Affairs, Peacebuilding, and Peacekeeping Operations, during a UN Security Council meeting.
