Russia Allegedly Plans to Assign One Interpreter for Every 30 North Korean Soldiers, Ukrainian Intelligence Reports
Ukrainian intelligence intercepted conversations of the Russian military about preparations for the reception of North Korean units in the Kursk region of Russia.
This was reported by HUR .
The Ukrainian intelligence intercepted the conversations of servicemen of the 810th Separate Marine Brigade of the 18th Army of the Southern Military District of Russia, which is participating in combat operations in the Kursk region.
In the intercepts, the Russian soldiers discuss preparations for the reception and distribution of North Korean military personnel (provisional name battalion "K") in the Kursk direction.
“To organize communication, the occupiers plan to assign one translator and three Russian servicemen for every 30 North Korean servicemen. However, the Russians themselves express doubts about the possibility of providing the newly arrived occupiers with a Russian command staff,” HUR reported.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the number of North Korean troops in Russia is already about 12,000, including 500 officers, and 3 generals from Pyongyang.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on October 25, following an intelligence report from the Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, that the first North Korean troops will be used by Russia in combat zones on October 27-28.
On October 14, Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, referenced intelligence reports indicating North Korea's de facto involvement in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
